Update with pictures will come later, just pulled into Albuquerque, did 880 miles today or something like that, averaged 68 mph (left the car on during fuel and coffee stops to keep a/c on) , and 28.6 mpg, but we went straight to plaid hauled some serious keister to achieve that number. From about 100 miles into Oklahoma until 50 miles outside Albuquerque, I was running with a BMW X3 3.5i, at anywhere between 80- 100 totally not 100 mph. Stopped to see Cadillac Ranch, more on that later.

Where in CA are you moving to? I did that I-40 route four times, twice each way.

Considering I had the cruise set at 90/95 most of the day (speed limit most of the way 75 or 80 so it’s only 15 over) and we have a biiiiig thule roof box, and both the trunk and the box packed with stuff, I did ok. I can get 40 if I sit glued to a tractor trailer at 65 though, but that’s way too boring.

Thought I replied to this last night, post must’ve gotten kinja’d. We aren’t moving, just going out there for my cousin’s wedding and to look at colleges along the way.

Good deal. You should take a look at Pepperdine at Malibu if you’re over that way. Literally the best campus in the country. Not exaggerating.
